cleaning after another's !@#$%^*#
it's another day of @#$%^&* at work...came back from a working trip to Sarawak on Wednesday
found out that the despatch boy havent 'moved an inch'
all the letters and parcels of circulars and directives that are supposed to be sent out by Monday morning are still as they were when i left them on Friday night...
i had made sure they're all done before i flew off
i personally told him (very politely) to get them despatched
i even went the extra mile by making his job a lot easier (a whole lot easier, well, i dont have to, but i did...)
i worked like mad, stayed back just to get it all done so it wont be delayed while i'm away in Sarawak...
but... this is how he 'repay' me???!!!!
guess what, this is not the first time...
sometimes, it's not that the service is slow and unresponsive...
we officers work like mad to get things done but some !@#$%^ staff would just screw it all up...
but in the end, when things go wrong, we're the ones who get screwed...
the thing with public service is that inefficient staff like the above mentioned despatch guy don't get fired, at least not that easily...
the most is that you'll get a few warning letters, or maybe get transfered
that doesnt at all solve the problem...
the black sheep remains in the service, just this time, some other agency's unlucky lar...
it's a vicious cycle, trust me, it's not easy to be in here.
i always believed in serving others, and not to be served
even when you're dealing with your subordinates...
but this???
if you're nice to them, they'll take advantage over you...
i had always believed in the the Golden Rule
but this is getting a bit hard, especially in the work place
people think you're guillible when you're humble...
people think you're 'easy' when you're friendly...
dilemma... dilemma...
let our 'no' means 'NO!'
it may sound cliched, but 'it's the small things that matter most...'
sometimes, it takes alot of effort to say 'no' and mean it
'no' means 'NO!', not 'Maybe yes...'
i dont like it when people generalize, and stereotype...
like all civil servants are the same
someone once said to me that i'll end up just like them one day
sooner or later i'll be one of them
Stop all that prophesizing when you dont know me well enough to speak for me!
Well, no!
I dont want to be like them
I'm not like them
and I will not be like them
even though it's just a trivial matter like today...
my 'no' means 'No!'
I think it's a good start, today...
And I think my lil decision will go a long way...
It's being true to my principle, true to my values, true to God's standard...
Then the world will know, that we are different
You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
Make me 'salty' Lord!
Lest I be thrown out and be trampled upon...

till death do us part...

yeah, i'm talking bout the big M word- Marriage...
with the wedding of a high-profiled head of the administration scheduled for this saturday,
it's been the 'buah mulut' for quite some time now,
with the so-called rumours in the initial stage to the denial stage...
'rumours saje la... rumours saje je...'
i cant help but get disappointed and upset...
i thought they were supposed to be the suami isteri contoh
never shy displaying affection towards each other in public
public confession of love and honour
... until the day she died...
then... things changed...
it is as if the 'reset' button had been pushed...
erase all past memories, past love, past everything (including deceased wife), start anew...
i find this part a bit too hard for me to swallow
how can a man love his wife, and find another after her death...
'till death do us part'
does death gives us the locus standi to count our wedding vows null & void???
then, it means whatever love you professed is only valid as long as your spouse remains alive?
that 8u11$h14 to me eh!!!
what's happening nowadays sound more like 'till (your) death do us part...'
that is not true love to me...
that is not what agape love is to me...
that is not the love that i think it should be...
that is not true love!!!
that is hypocracy!!!
true love means 'till (my) death do us part..'
true love means loving our spouse, for the rest of our life, not his/her life...
true love surpasses deaths...
i find it hard to accept re-marrying, even after one's spouse had passed away...
i dont think it is possible to accept another person, or to find a replacement after our spouse had passed away...
i dont think people can move on that quickly (less than 2years since the sad demise)
i dont think people should move on that quickly, with another person!!!
i dont think it's ever possible to make the vow again, with another 'life partner'...
what??? till (another) death do us part???
what ever happened to real LOVE???
